The 3rd annual Brighten the Night Wine Tasting and Live Auction, presented by the Michael Young Family Foundation and McKinney Roofing, was held on September 18, 2014, at Noah’s Event Center in Fairview. The event raised over $100,000 to fund the Transportation and Sibling Programs. We were honored to have Michael Young, legendary Texas Ranger, and his wife Cristina in attendance. Mr. Young was the 2014 Brighten the Night Honorary Chairperson.

176 Carson’s Crusaders Foundation supporters gathered to enjoy wines from around the world paired with delicious food. Upon arrival, guests enjoyed a cocktail and a beautiful assortment of cheese and fruit donated and prepared by Market Street. Mr. Young greeted guests and took photos with guests during the cocktail hour.
Emcee J.P. Gregoriew, of DJP Creative, welcomed guests, and Kimberly Richardson, President of Carson’s Crusaders Foundation, shared an update on the progress the Foundation made during 2014. Mr. Young then took the stage to answer questions from the audience.
Wine guru, David Pennachetti, led the tasting portion of the evening. Upon completion of the tasting, guests were served beautiful chocolate cake truffles from Sweet Art Bakery in McKinney.
The inspiring and touching “Be the Spark” video created by Jeremy West Video (which you can view by clicking here) opened the auction portion of the evening. This video includes the story of one of the families who received services from Carson’s Crusaders Foundation during 2014.
Auctioneer Clay Potter led a spirited and entertaining live auction.
