Our first annual Brighten the Night Wine Tasting and Live Auction was held on September 6, 2012 at the Historic Flour Mill in downtown McKinney. Almost 150 supporters gathered to enjoy an evening filled with music, wine, and good times.
Guests were entertained throughout the evening by illustrator Benjamin Vincent who created personalized sketches of each guest to commemorate the evening.
Emcee JP Gregoriew welcomed guests, and Kimberly Richardson, President of Carson’s Crusaders Foundation, shared her story and the vision of the foundation.
Karen Bragg-Matthews, sommelier, led the tasting portion of the evening which included a variety of wines paired with scrumptious hors d’oeuvres.
The inspiring and touching “Be the Spark” video created by Jeremy West Video (which you can view by clicking here) opened the auction portion of the evening.
Auctioneer Clay Potter led a spirited and entertaining live auction. The event raised over $40,000 to fund the Transportation and Sibling Programs.
