Carson’s Crusaders Foundation was formed in 2011 to provide assistance to families of children battling cancer. Our services include travel assistance, sibling support, educational programs, and financial support to those families affected. Our families need us now more than ever during this difficult time.
Carson’s Crusaders Foundation exists because each day, right here in the DFW metroplex, families are struggling to pay for the fuel it takes to get their child to lifesaving cancer treatments. Social workers report to us every month that a family wasn’t going to be able to get their child to treatment without the help of Carson’s Crusaders Foundation Transportation Program. To date, we have served over 1,100 families enduring the unthinkable. We are also the only organization in North Texas that focuses on the siblings of the cancer patients though our Superstar Sibling Program. We provide opportunities for families to attend events throughout the Metroplex and make lasting memories, while we roll out the red carpet for the siblings.
As good stewards of your donations, Carson’s Crusaders Foundation has funded more than 45,000 trips to the hospital for life saving cancer treatments by distributing over $1 MILLION in direct assistance (gas cards, parking, sibling gifts, Superstar activities, scholarships, and more) to our deserving families. We’ve also invested in programs to promote local education and advocacy for pediatric cancer awareness through our Paint the Town Gold initiatives. Currently, we are serving more than 100 families receiving cancer care at Children’s Medical Center Dallas & Legacy Campus in Plano, Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Cook’s Children’s Hospital in Ft. Worth, and McLane Hospital in Temple.
