YOU can make a difference! Carson’s Crusaders Foundation is looking for volunteers to join our team. We are seeking people who have a serving heart and want to make a difference in the lives of families affected by pediatric cancer.
Our volunteers are a diverse group who share a passion for helping people. We are excited about adding more dedicated, hardworking, passionate, individuals that want to continue the legacy in the name of Carson Thomas Richardson that helps and serves those fighting the battle he fought. We would love for you to join us!
Volunteer opportunities exist in all areas of the Foundation. The Foundation includes five major Departments: Administration, Programs and Services, Development (Fundraising), Marketing and Information Technology (IT). The following volunteer opportunities are available:

Fundraising –Carson’s Crusaders is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization. Our programs and services require multiple and ongoing fundraising events during the year. Our goal is to help even more North Texas families and we are looking for a passionate fundraising committee to help us make this happen.
Brighten the Night Committee –Brighten the Night is our biggest fundraising event of the year and requires a committee of approximately 6-10 members to plan and execute our annual event held in the fall.
Marketing Committee- Led by a Board Chairperson, the marketing committee develops the marketing strategy used to promote the organization’s mission and causes. A marketing committee is the voice of the organization. It encompasses public relations, communications, networking, and desired branding for the Foundation. Marketing works closely with the fundraising committee to promote events.
Paint the Town Gold (PTTG) Chairperson and Committee Members- PTTG is our annual campaign to raise awareness about cancer during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (September). We are looking for someone to lead and join a committee to create awareness in the community. Posters are distributed the last week in August to area pediatric offices, day cares and local businesses.
Social Media Manager- Maintain the social media platform for the Foundation and make sure the desired marketing strategy is being conveyed.
Assistant Volunteer Coordinator- Assist the volunteer coordinator in recruiting, managing, training, and scheduling volunteers for the foundation.
Information Technology- Be part of a team that oversees technology needs to support the business of the Foundation. Responsibilities include web site management and design, donor database, electronic storage, online donation platform, and other applications to support day-to-day business.
Programs & Services- Join the “Sib Cru”, a team that assists in planning, executing and chaperoning events for the siblings of pediatric cancer patients. Attending a special “Sib Cru” training program is required for this committee.
